This antique fireplace spark guard shows signs of age and use consistent with its years. The brass-coloured frame displays age-related tarnishing, patina, surface marks and wear. The wire mesh remains largely intact but has some distortion in places and brakes, it has come unattached from the frame most of the way around as shown in the photographs. Easy fix with some chicken wire. 2 out of the 3 frame peices that protrude from the centre circle are not attached to the outer frame. The rear support brackets show surface rust and oxidation from age. Overall, the piece retains plenty of character and displays well as an antique fireplace accessory. 66cm wide 48cm tall
