I don’t know much about this, I’ve only found one or two examples with little information. The info found reads “ This hard to find, curved fireplace fender stands 8.5" high and 15.5" wide. It is about 4" deep. Made of super heavy, solid cast iron with a carnival glass iridescent surface, it features a pierrot clown on each end. c1930s or earlier. “ It has been used in a working coal fire for a long time, there is surface rust in the middle, and spots and marks and signs of use all over. But a lot of the original finish is still visible and very nice. On the back it reads “ POIRROT “ and “16” wether this refers to 1916 I have no idea, but I assume it does.
